Garden Plain High School

We are all finally healthy and have several practices under our belt. We had short preparation time and a few injuries due to our 3A Runner Up Football finish. Our entire season will be a work in progress and we hope to have good chemistry by the time we enter the Rupp tourney.

We are always excited to come play in Halstead. The school and community put on a first class tournament that we are proud to be a part of. We also look forward to the quality of competition that we will see as it prepares us for the second half of the season and is a good measuring stick to see where we're at compared to other quality teams. Last season provided an especially great field, as 5 of the 8 teams qualified for the State tournament.

This will be my 9th Rupp tournament (3 as a player at Cheney and 6 as a coach at Garden Plain) and it's something I look forward to each year. My best finish was 5th place as a player and earned All Tournament Honors. My best finish as an assistant coach is 3rd and as head coach is 4th.
