Cheney High School

Cheney High School is a member of the Central Plains League. Cheney has moved up to class 4A for the first time in school history. They enter the Rupp Tourney with a 8-0 record and the 1st seed.

The basketball team is led by seven seniors: Justin Hickey, Jason Krenzel, Logan Waggy, Chase Williams, Nate Wulf, Travis Wulf, and Brock Zerener. Other members of the tournament squad are juniors: Bolton Bolinger, Sam Casner, Eric Compton, Tanner Hageman, and Austin Johnson, plus freshman: Sean Osler.

The Cheney High School Boy’s basketball program awaits the Adolph Rupp tournament with great anticipation. Every part of our program from our freshmen, junior varsity and varsity team members, coaches, managers, cheerleaders, and administrators, we are treated with great hospitality and enjoy the basketball environment that is created annually during this tournament.

The town of Halstead and the Halstead school district appreciates great basketball competition and is very enthusiastic about coming out and supporting their tournament. Along with the other competing towns that follow their individual schools helps make the atmosphere of the Adolph Rupp tournament a great experience for all who are involved.
